Classic Marvel Star Wars Comics #25 “Siege At Yavin” is the first of a 2-part storyline involving Luke and Leia exploring some shady business surrounding the planet Yavin, near the Rebel base. Richard and Sarah discuss the comic and find FTOOM! Fast Facts - names and planets that show up later in Star Wars books, comics and films. It's fascinating the amount of material that's pulled from these original comics.

Synopsis: The Rebel base on Yavin is being attacked by a TIE Fighter squadron. And no one knows where they came from since there is no base or ships in the sector. Meanwhile, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker arrive at the trading world, Centares, to trade in their ship for a less traceable craft since The Empire saw them.

As they leave the planet they discover that a House of Tagge Mining Explorer is on its way to Yavin. Knowing the Tagge's ties with the Empire and fearing for the security of the Rebel base on Yavin 4, they decide to follow them and investigate further.

They discover that the Mining Explorer is transporting Imperial TIE fighters to Yavin and hiding the fighters in the thick gaseous atmosphere of the giant planet.

Luke and Leia realize that this can only mean danger for the Rebel base and rush to alert them, but are intercepted by an Imperial patrol...
